Grade A is suitable for medium and low temperatures and general pressure ratings, while Grade B is the most versatile high-temperature grade. It is suitable for medium and high temperatures, high-pressure steam, and process piping, and is a very typical pipe material for high-temperature applications.
The vast majority of ASTM A106 projects use Grade B; the actual volume of Grade C is relatively small.
ASTM A106 Grade B is a seamless pipe with no weld-related weaknesses, making it a safer choice. Due to its excellent high-temperature performance and weldability, it is widely used in international engineering projects and is suitable for industrial high-temperature, high-pressure piping systems.
