Pre-Galvanized Steel Pipe for Cost-Effective Corrosion Protection
Pre-galvanized steel pipes are produced from zinc-coated steel coils that are formed and welded into tubes with a smooth, uniform finish. Each pipe is zinc-coated both inside and outside, while the weld seam is reinforced with zinc spray to restore complete protection. This process creates bright, clean, and aesthetically pleasing pipes that offer reliable corrosion resistance in moderate environments. They serve as a cost-effective choice for construction, water supply, and general engineering applications.
Manufactured through ERW forming of zinc-coated steel coils to ensure smooth surface and consistent protection.
Bright, clean appearance suitable for construction, scaffolding, and light engineering systems.
Provides economical corrosion resistance for moderate environments with long-lasting performance.
Conforms to ASTM, BS, JIS, and EN standards with customizable dimensions and coating grades.
Pre-Galvanized Steel Pipe — Smooth Surface & Uniform Zinc Coating
- Pre-galvanized steel pipe features a uniform zinc coating, providing excellent corrosion resistance in mild to moderate environments.
- Smooth, bright surface ideal for aesthetic applications or where visual appeal is important.
- Cost-effective solution for construction, water systems, and light-duty engineering applications.
- Produced through ERW (Electric Resistance Welding) from pre-galvanized steel coils for superior weld integrity.
Description
Pre-galvanized steel pipe is manufactured from hot-dip galvanized steel coils through a continuous ERW forming and welding process. The steel strip—such as DX51D grade under EN 10346—is slitted, roll-formed, and welded into a tube, with the weld seam zinc-sprayed for additional corrosion protection. This results in a bright, uniform surface both inside and outside the pipe.
Offering a smooth appearance and stable performance, pre-galvanized steel pipes are widely used in construction frameworks, mechanical fabrication, furniture, and low-corrosion water or ventilation systems. They provide an economical and durable solution for non-aggressive environments, with good weldability and consistent coating quality.
- Manufactured by ERW process using pre-galvanized steel coils for consistent coating thickness and smooth finish.
- Uniform zinc layer (typically Z80–Z275) protects against atmospheric corrosion.
- Weld seam is zinc-sprayed to restore coating integrity after forming.
- Bright and smooth surface suitable for aesthetic or structural applications.
- Service life: 20–40 years under normal atmospheric conditions.

Main Applications
Pre-galvanized steel pipes are widely used in light and medium-duty construction, fabrication, and mechanical systems. With a uniform zinc coating and smooth finish, they provide cost-effective corrosion protection for indoor and low-corrosive outdoor environments.
Construction & Framework
Used in building structures, greenhouses, handrails, and fencing systems where appearance and light corrosion protection are required.
Scaffolding & Support Systems
Commonly applied in scaffolding, temporary platforms, and mechanical supports due to excellent formability and weldability.
Furniture & Mechanical Fabrication
Ideal for furniture frames, racks, and machinery enclosures needing smooth surface finish and consistent dimensions.
Water Supply & Ventilation Lines
Suitable for non-aggressive water conveyance, air-duct systems, and general utility pipelines under mild atmospheric conditions.
Industrial & Utility Projects
Used in industrial plants, workshops, and warehouse installations as a durable, economical solution for tubing and conduits.
Advantages
- Uniform Zinc Coating: Both interior and exterior surfaces are coated for full corrosion protection, ensuring bright and smooth appearance.
- Economical Solution: Lower cost compared with hot-dip galvanized pipes while maintaining adequate rust resistance for indoor and light-duty uses.
- Easy Processing: Excellent formability and weldability make it ideal for cutting, bending, and fabrication.
- Good Surface Finish: Smooth and clean surface, suitable for decorative or exposed structural applications.
- Standard Compliance: Conforms to ASTM A653, EN 10346, JIS G3444, and BS 4568 standards.
Packing & Transportation
Pre-galvanized steel pipes are packed and shipped with care to maintain coating integrity and prevent scratches during handling. Each bundle is tightly secured and padded to ensure safe delivery from mill to site.
- Bundle Packing: Pipes are tied with strong steel straps and padded to prevent friction and coating damage.
- Container Loading: Ideal for pipe lengths up to 6 m for small and medium project orders.
- Bulk Transport: For longer or larger diameter pipes, bundles are placed on wooden saddles and covered with protective wrapping to avoid moisture or impact.
